How Do I care for my Mala?

Malas are beautiful tools for us to use and should be treated with care and respect. They are handmade and meant to be worn and loved, however they are not indestructible. Please be mindful of objects that your Mala can “catch” on and can cause damage (door knobs, etc)

Please avoid getting your Malas wet in showers, pools, etc as water will make the thread wear prematurely, or stretch the knots. Water can also react negatively with certain stones.

Malas should be stored out of heat and direct sunlight. Long period of time in heat and sunlight can react negatively with certain stones.

It is a good idea to cleanse your Mala’s energy regularly. You can do so by smudging it. You can also charge it under a full moon. Another way to cleanse your Mala is by placing it on a piece of selenite.

Tassels?

Please feel free to trim your tassel to the desire length. Ensure you are using a good pair of sharp scissors.

Broken Mala?

In the rare event your mala breaks please contact me at yogidreamermalas@gmail.com. If is within 1 year of purchase, I will repair it free of charge and only ask you pay the shipping costs. If it has been longer than one year, I charge a re-knotting fee of $30. Also, I will re-knot Malas purchased elsewhere, please contact me.

I’m in LOVE with my Mala that Elizabeth created. She helped me design and pick out which stones would best fit what I was looking for to enhance my daily meditation practice. She explained the significance and meaning of each stone that was used to construct my Mala. This handmade beauty has brought light to my life and meditation practice and I absolutely love them and couldn’t be happier with my Mala!
